Nothing is known about the larval stages of most amphibians in India, so we collected eggs and larvae around Lackunda. At various satages of development specimens were taken, preserved in alcohol and deposited at the Zoological Survey of India, Calcutta. Drawings were made of all stages and where possible photographs taken. Where possible species were reared from eggs of known origin, or reared to a stage where identification was possible.
